What is your legitimate evidence that Trump is Racist?

Many people mention Charlottesville, Virginia as the reason they believe Trump is racist. I am from a mixed family and agree with the way Trump handled the situation.

I believe freedom trumps your feelings and those that cause physical harm are the problem.

This means the supposed anti-racists were the criminal element here and violence towards them was legitimate self-defense.

Can you address this topic rationally? I bet one side can't...?

Wow I am tired of this thread! The OP is a condescending drump-lover who will shoot any Fact posted down, to justify his (comstantly-denied but glaringly manifest) racism. Read on to see a " master" at work.

Charlottesville is in Virginia.

Sorry his actions against Mexicans especially the judge he chastised who was going to hear his case, action against Muslims, stating nazi's were good people are all great indications he is very bias against these people.

@NotConvinced I have been following your posts and you do not seem convinced about any subject you answer .I am not sure that you are able to be convinced of anything.

his advisors may well be . that or cynical beyond belief

"As for counting his money...who cares? Jews created America's current economic system and the comment suggests he didn't want white Europeans to count it either."

Apparently he cares, for no good reason, except skin tone.

"Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.”

And your antisemitic remark suggests you share some of Trump's racist stereotyping issues as well.

@NotConvinced So you are a moron and a bigot. Sorry, that's redundent. ?

In addition to my previous comments, I forgot to mention Trumps targeting of the NFL players who were protesting as Colin Kaepernick was doing. Personally, I believe Trumps disrespectful comments were an attack on a targeted group of Black athletes so Trump could both go on the attack as well as pander to White Evangelicals. The issue is threefold. 1. Attack the Black men rather than acknowledge their protest when the majority of team owners and the league were supportive. 2. Trump plays to his White religious base. 3. Trump is angry at the NFL just like he is angry at Las Vegas because both rejected his attempts at buying a NFL team and getting a legitimate casino in Vegas. He’s a punitive loser. Yes he’s racist. I think it’s well documented. I also support the NFL protests and I personally haven’t said the pledge of allegiance or participated in the National Anthem in over 20 years. My reason is because of God references and the false narrative of Liberty and Justice for all. It just isn’t true.

Trump has a documented history of not renting to people of color and for evicting people of color from his New York properties and not letting people into some of his establishments unless he was making significant money off of them. People reportedly witnessed him just a few months ago saying shit hole countries like Haiti. That smacks of racism. He and his father, a documented Klansman lost in court in 1973 when the Federal government sued for housing discrimination and it’s well documented what he has said about Mexicans and his Muslim travel ban. Both have racist overtones. My standard definition for racism is when there is systemic oppression of a particular group especially people of color. That is not my own definition, but the one I heard on NPR that makes the most sense to me. And if you look on the Internet I am certain you will find plenty of evidence similar to what I am writing here. Now he is entitled to his feelings but I think it is careless and dangerous as well as disrespectful in a civilized society to behave as he does on issues in public; not only about race but other issues. He is a bad example of what a good president or leader looks like.

@NotConvinced I think that there needs to be a different metric by which we measure the behavior of the President. That office is supposed to represent all Americans. When someone in that power position states that there were 'good people' on both sides of the Charlottesville debacle, fails to assure that Puerto Rico receives the kinds of aid that other American sites of tragedy receive, and encourages Congress to pass legislation that will affect people of color disproportionately, the evidence is clear that some people (white males) matter more to him than others. That is not acceptable.

LHe was here in Connecticut trying to hook up with our Mohegan Indians to "invest" in the proposed Mohegan Sun Casino. Circamid-80's They wisely turned him down. Now, many of the Mohegans are very dark-skinned because for about 200 years we shamefully banned them from marrying white-skinned folks. When dear Donnie left, he remarked, "They don't look like Indians anyway". This was reported in our multiple Pulitzer-Prize winning paper, The New London Day, and shown on local media also. He was a racist sour-grapes poor loser then and has never improved!

@NotConvinced ummmm denigrating them because of their COLOR isn't racist to you???!!!

@NotConvinced just wow.......

@NotConvinced Expertise??? Care to elaborate on that?

@NotConvinced "Expertise"??? In what, exactly? Both Rex Tillertson and now his Chief of Staff have called him "an Idiot", and one presumes they know more about him than you ever will!

Trump is not a racist - he gets called that because he wants to keep Americans safe.
Some are just too stupid to understand what he is doing for them.

gater Level 7 Apr 28, 2018

Hw gets called that because he is a racist. I would absolutely LOVE to hear you explain what you think he is trying to do for us so I could list 3 things out of his own mouth and that of his unqualified political appointees that counter everything you list. Ill probably be able to list his own actions in most cases as well.

Some of the things that he does which appear racist can be partially explained by a desire to keep Americans safe, but other things can only be explained by racism.

@Tara2 What other things?

@gater

Here's a pretty comprehensive list of things that he's done that appear racist.

[nytimes.com]

You'd want to discount the things that relate to the wall and the Muslim ban, as those can be construed as trying to keep Americans safe. Some of the other things could probably be assumed to be jokes by those who want to give him the benefit of the doubt. Most notably along the things that I don't see a way to explain away is the discrimination in housing.

"Safe"....ooookkkaaay....the mass shootings are overwhelmingly by white citizens with KKK, Nazi, and /or evangelical leanings. How's about working on that?!
We keep destroying entire countries, their infrastructure, families, cities, turning them all into refugees living in camps, and then refuse to let them in, because, so sad, too bad........WTH!??!!

@Sticks48 I do know stupid - if you want to see stupid look at the jr high level comments in the Trump bashing group - its pathetic.

@NotConvinced I'm aware of what the Muslim ban is and isn't, but it's commonly referred to as the Muslim ban, and hence I used that description. I did however say that for the sake of argument we should ignore the Muslim ban, because although I think it was bad, it doesn't directly lead to the conclusion that Trump is racist.

@AnneWimsey I didn't say that I agreed with Trump that these things actually would keep people safer. When I'm talking to people that think that Trump is misrepresented and really just wants to keep Americans safe, then there are better things to point out then the Muslim ban.

@Tara2. yeah, I felt Totally safe when he was taunting & insulting a hostile nuclear power. You may think "duck & cover" will save you...i do not!

@AnneWimsey I was also scared when he was doing that. Luckily it didn't amount to a nuclear attack. This however is seemingly unrelevant to a discussion about Trump's racism.

@Tara2 gee, I don't see him being as vile with white world leaders.......hmmmmmmm

@Tara2, @gater have you never heard of humor being used to relieve fear & horror?

@Tara2 You said appear racist - that's not proof of racism. Trump is no racist - don't you remember 911? Are you aware of how many MS13 come up from the Mexican border. Some of you need to learn what Trump is all about.

Whenever i hear / read Trump is a racist I REMEMBER THE REACTION OF MATT DRAYTON (Spencer Tracy)...THE ALL LIBERAL GUY WHEN HIS DAUGHTER BRINGS HER BLACK FIANCE (Sydney Poitier) OVER.

"WHO IS COMING FOR DINER? " Great movie.

Yes, everybody says that so and so is a racist...until he/she must face a black/white issue. The same with the pro-life; they are all for the unborn until their daughters gets pregnant....

HYPOCRITES....!!!!

The 1973 case against his company as well as his actions during the original Central Park 5 trial pretty much prove his racism. That was well before his connection with the whole Obama birther non-sence. I would say however, that what is now considered racist is much different than it was even in the 70s. This is why holidays with older family members can be so challenging. Here's a link that details his racist transgressions (I hope the Link works).
[theguardian.com]

See my anecdote, above, which occurred in the mid to late 80's
Nasty racist comment made for no reason other than he didn't get what he wanted, was simply one of a pool of would-be be investors.

@NotConvinced It was a direct remark to the media! Meant to denigrate/insult using their appearance. WTH is your problem? Oh, wait....... You are simply a racist apologist trying to disguise yourself as a thinking human being!

@NotConvinced Ok, I don't know how you could possibly think that setting a racist policy for a family owned and run business is done by some lower level employee. It was called Red Lining. Many bankers and real estate companies favored this practice. It's just history and facts can be troublesome, especially to Trump and his supporters, which is why they were so easily manipulated by the Russians in the last election.

@NotConvinced I stand by my remark...you take every response on here and blame everyone within 50' of the actual nasty drumpy, or attack the poster as not in command of the facts they present...that's an apologist. And pretending drumpy isn't racist, blatantly so, is willful blindness or just sweeping the shit under the rug because you are one too. Man up & own it, but ferpetessake take it to somewhere else!

@NotConvinced I certainly would except I blocked my racist uncle and his racist sons from my FB page for sharing article after article on my timeline. Many of these were actually IN RUSSIAN and the ones that weren't I researched and found out where they originated. I'm in Michigan and we were inundated with this garbage. Trump won by a narrow margin here. Trump wasn't the only "useful idiot" who benefitted from foreign medaling, however, Jill Stein's entire campaign was Russian sponsored as well. B.T.W. if you still support Trump's latest version of the Trickle Down Economic Tax Scam, first study what it did to Kansas (where Gov. Brownback mercifully resigned) and then, for the sake of your country as well as everything that's still pure and good, don't ever mention economics to anyone in public again.

@NotConvinced scientifically, per DNA and every other check, there are no "races", just various hues of one race. But you can explain that, too, I suppose.

@NotConvinced Hillary was the most investigated politician in history. The mountains of right wing propaganda spewed out about her over the years has convinced many people of her guilt (of something) . The way the Republicans (Fox News) have twisted and turned the facts about Hillary is as intellectually interesting as it is morally bankrupt. The fact is many people find her unlikable, that is her only actual crime.. Trump was not a superior choice over Hillary in any shape or form. Except for misogynist and white supremacy advocates who finally got their guy. It has already been proven that Trump and his staff are actually guilty of every single thing they accused the Clintons of and much, much, more.

@NotConvinced ummm, a scientific fact, you fool.

@NotConvinced the fall-back insulting remark when you have no intelligent response.

@NotConvinced. "Implicate"? He (drump) was directly quoted in all the media! "Doorman" my ass!
