I think what it shows is big pharma ie profit has far too much influence on research science. That respect for historic protocols in research got tossed out the window with covid. That acknowledgment and respect, trust of the state authorities is at an all time low. "They didn't fund us, don't have to tell them". The Gates foundation probably knew.
