Leprosy has the ability to regenerate organs. Now, if only science can figure out how the bacteria does that without the extreme damage the disease does, it could become a useful medical tool.

Approx. 30 years ago i read how there was hope for taking the irritant factor out of poison ivy as the extremely clingy oils could provide a way to keep healing medicines on burn victims (the burns weep constantly, thus removing any topicals very quickly)
