LINK Greg Abbott says he backs law restricting transgender college athletes | The Texas Tribune

We know that there are physiological differences between men and women. These include cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, and immune system differences. But the really important concern has nothing to do with gender identity.

Do we really place that much emphasis on sports? Does anyone else the the extreme absurdity of students, colleges and a governor focusing their attention on competitive sports? Of all the things with which we can concern ourselves why would we waste each others time arguing about playing a game or running a race? Really?

I’m not averse to alternative gender identification or non gender identification. What ticks me off is the waste of resources and opportunities that arguing about sports creates.
