This wasn't written for this audience. This is written for a Christian audience. I thought some of you might enjoy it though.

What has religion given you?

It has given you rules to live by. It has given you traditions to follow. It has told you what to love and what to hate. It has told you that you are a sinner. It has told you that if you follow what it dictates, you will know God. It has asserted itself as the only way. It has demanded your time, energy, and money.

Do you truly know God? Can you define God outside the confines of your religion? Have these rules, traditions, and directives brought you closer to God and humanity?

Has a life of religion given you anything more? Are you prepared and willing to face life and death with complete faith, understanding, and acceptance? You don't get that from a preacher. You don't get that from a book. You don't get that from an imaginary figure in the sky. You get that from knowing God. The way to know God is to truly know it – not read about it, not be told about it, not wish about it, not think about it. Know it. It is inside of you. Go inside and find it. Then you will truly know.

Jesus wasn't and isn't a Christian. That label was created and defined hundreds of years later by humans and still is. Christians don't follow Christ; they follow a church. The spiritually awakened follow Christ.

There is always a tension between religions claims and it realities.
