As a feminist, I’m supposed to be “triggered” by this movement? Clearly the right-wingers promoting “tradwives” simply do not understand feminism.
There are a number of these Christian Anti-feminist women all over You-Tube, peddling insipid nonsense and the "Joy" of submitting to the will of your god granted hubby, as a stand in for your heavenly father.
Worst of all are the putrid teachings of the more traditional arm of the Latter Day Saint church, which openly oppresses females and preaches at them to be thankful that god wants them to be Mormon baby making machines for all eternity so that their Priestly Husbands can become gods of their own planets in their own right.
Mormon doctrine is that women are privileged to be the mothers of priests and priest's wive, and so as a reward, need not work or study other to be better wives, homemakers and mothers.
Right-wingers seem to love to invent things that supposedly "trigger" those on the left. Of course, then they get angry that liberals get "triggered" at all.
But I've also noticed that the true snowflakes are those on the right. Every conservative seems to constantly be complaining, whining and belly-aching about something or someone and much of the time its things that don't really matter or don't affect them.
They do not understand feminism or indeed much at all, because understanding requires effort, maturity and self examination. And their ideology is that they do not need any of those things, because they are the peak of creation already.
They do not understand irony either. It was once said that one of the great strengths needed to be on the political extremes, was a lack of a sense of humour, because if you had one of those you would see how silly you looked.
It's all gravy if it is your Choice, whatever it may be that year/month/decade....
I used to sell Avon door to door when most women were home with the kids all day and let me tell you the women who answered the door deeply and obviously wanted me to stay and talk (when I needed to be on to the next sale), they were Desperate for adult conversation.
I never, ever wanted to be a Suzy Homemaker and often wonder how happy they really are, but it should always be a woman's choice.
Don't worry, Internet, all the people referred to as an "influencer" really influence virtually no one.
