LINK Evangelical leader who advised abused women not to divorce doubles down, says he has nothing to apologize for - The Washington Post

More on the Paige Patterson story. Spoiler alert: he's not disavowing his remarks, not is he backing down on his views concerning the place of women. Why should he? After all, they're biblically-based! (So saith he!) He's fired a Ph.D student from the seminary where he is president over a dissenting tweet. Ugh, I thought Baptists were supposed to encourage each other in "the love of Christ"? This seems to be taking "you don't deviate from the the party line" to a decidedly unchristian (snort), not to mention potentially litigious, level!
