You could always run over the dogma with a karma.... Yeah, I know it's a really old joke.

People like rituals. It makes them part of a whole (herd thing). The different they are from other peoples rituals the better, so they become more complex. There is no way, at this time, to eliminate dogma -- we are too mentally immature.
