I pulled this quote from a bit of dialogue that is in a song I heard recently. It kind of sort of scared me a little because I felt I could relate to it. I can't help but wonder does anyone else ever feel this way?

"When she insists she's in love with me whatever that is...
What she means is she prefers the senseless pain we inflict on each other to the pain we would otherwise inflict on ourselves.
