Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I don't think being an atheist has anything to do with it. I've loved fantasy (as well as other genres) for as long as I can remember. I've only been an atheist for about 10 years though religion was never a significant part of my life.
I probably read far more urban fantasy than sword and sorcery type fantasy. I'd highly recommend the Danial Faust series by Craig Schaefer and the Alex Verus series by Benedict Jacka and the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. The Revanche Cycle series by Craig Schaefer is really good and it's a fantasy series.
