The science is hardly settled.
I wasn't aware this was an issue. It seems obvious to me that climate all over the world is interconnected. It's a global system. It makes no sense to me to look at it or study it in regional isolation.
If we were discussing terraforming of another planet, we wouldn't approach it except as a global system.
@NotConvinced Yes, but you don't ignore the whole system, or assume something on the opposite side of the planet won't play a role. In fact, I would make the opposite assumption, because it's all one huge system. If I were making computer models of it, to make only regional models to me doesn't make sense. The whole has to be considered.
