Fuckin hell. Last night, while I was trying to sleep, my neck subluxed so badly that it made a loud, painful crack. No kind of pillow or arrangement of bedding seems to help keep my neck stable. >.<

I have 2 vertabre in my neck that have slide apart and are pinching the nerve for my left arm. After 3 weeks the pain was so intense I couldn't take it anymore. Pain pills wouldn't touch it. I was dreaming of blowing my arm off with my shotgun. This dreams are sign I need to get help. They gave me a round of steriods and Lyrica and it's doing good now. I can tell it's still there so I dread the end of the steroids. I have weakness and some loss of range of motion so im waiting for an appt to get a nerve conduction test to see just how much damage has been done. I've been waiting for it to get bad enough for surgery because they have been slide apart for over a decade now. I was really careful how I slept so I prevented it from happening again for years. You can't be perfect forever and all it took was one night of deep sleep in the wrong position and it opened the door to hell.

I've been wearing one of these "Releaf" collars backwards for years - mainly at night when my neck is really bothering me. (Velcro in front).
I also sometimes apply a Lidocaine patch to the back of my neck under that.
I don't know what your particular neck issue is - or whether this would help or harm you.
It's been helpful for me. With my wonky neck.
