just contemplating whether i really desire to hit the road & go bush with a swag only ?
I really like the idea of going on a walkabout, however the idea of coming across one of these would scare the shit out of me. I am not so sure I would react appropriately and therefore would end up dead. But if I were doing this I would have made peace with this happening. It is all in my head, but my body has its own reactions and fears.
that is my reasoning too: the body wants to have this - possibly adventurous - experience, so for once i would like my mind to be trusting & be led by it.
@walklightly I am in the midst of several conversations(just starting) that will be quite interesting. I have read several books about people who have joined with the Aborigines and find this would be a great experience, but I am to set at this time to allow it to happen. Perhaps later.

The snakes would be a worry.
yes. that's the thing: should worry keep me from having a life? most people who ever travelled the australian outback never had that sort of worries confirmed.
More Ausie words ? I looked swag up and found several definitions ; an acronym ( stuff we all get ) , a piece of cloth and something cool ( not temp ). I take it your meaning apiece of fabric or clothing and bush meaning naked ?
? going bush, also known as walkabout, is journeying the outback in oz. with my luxurious piece of cloth:
@walklightly Is that a real swag man ?
@walklightly Are you a swag woman or a swagshela ?
@Besalbub, none of the above & much more.

Posted by InsectraA cute grey treefrog (Hyla versicolor) that I found in my birch tree, this afternoon. His camouflage was great and I only discovered him when I heard him calling.
