Strangest critter discovery... This is from several years ago- a brutal mystery. This is a vole's head, upper teeth defiantly latched into a crawlspace vent that evidently looked like an escape route; but the screen inside prevented passage. So, the predator seized the opportunity, and took all but what you see here. We'll never know what the predator was; but I wonder if it wasn't a red tailed hawk who snipped off some dinner... Nature can be pretty ugly and cruel; but everyone has to eat.
