Ever the kitchen helper... Alastair.

My first grand cat! Following loss of our 17 YO black cat, my daughter chose her first cat. This is Brie (who rooms with Mac, so... Mac and Cheese). She already owns the place!

So... who else here has cats that can only eat with human company present? My cats are almost always on strict diets driven by medical conditions, and so they must be fed separately. One is eating in the basement due to his fear of (current) thunder....

And now we are 4... Adopted Alistair yesterday in Savannah. He is amazing!

One good part of the arrival of the cool seasons of autumn and winter... all of the cats are back to sleeping with me and parking on my lap for long stints. LOVE it!

Happy Caturday, fellow fanatics! My son is visiting for a stint and brought the cat that he took with him to school with him. I’ve missed Bailey tremendously and am enjoying having him back for however long this visit will be.

Let's declare EVERY day Caturday until this pandemic has run its course! (for some of us, that's not a change!) Here is Jasper "helping" while I set up a new reptile cage this afternoon:

To those who use cardboard scratch pads... Jasper just showed me that they make great nests for arthropod pests. He just fished a wood roach from his! (eeek!)

For once, Jasper's not stressing over the rain on the metal roof...

Part 2 of the cat shelf installation was just completed. The cat that could most benefit (get away from the rowdy one by going UP) opted to sit on the landing pad, instead. Go figure.

My house cats just alerted me to what turned out to be a very wild squirrel in the house. I shut the cats away while I "coaxed" the squirrel out an open door to the outside. Said coaxing involved no small amount if squirrel attacking (target = me) ...
