I'm trying to get back to work after recovering from surgery but Dawson clearly believes that I need more time off. Guess I'm not working today! Sorry boss, the cat is sleeping in my chair.

Day 1 volunteering at the animal shelter and I didn't steal any kittens. Pic of my cat Pelly just because.

This was shared by an animal rescue that I follow on Facebook. I can't find the artist's name.

I'm being watched. Pelly is settling in well with the other 3 cats and has recovered well from her injuries.

The shelter kitties are settling in and this week I learned that Yukon likes his belly rubbed and brushed. I feel like I’ve found a unicorn to have a long haired cat that loves to be brushed.

We brought home 2 shelter kitties yesterday. Meet Dawson and Yukon, shown hiding under my desk. They are very good boys but still very scared.

Decorating tip: always choose chairs that contrast attractively with your cat. In related news, Twit likes the new recliners.

After moving, Romeo has rediscovered the kitty couch that I made for him last summer.

I realize it’s been a while since I’ve dusted my bookshelf but that much fur is kinda ridiculous...

My mother’s cat Iris lounging on the bed.

Teslin (kitty on left) and Siris are snuggle buddies. Fun having 5 cats to hang out with while I’m here since I don’t have my own cat since losing my Mattie cat back in March.

Iris is working very hard to press some clothes. Such a good kitty.

It’s cool, I have nothing to do but lie here while Mattie sits on me.

The cat trap I set up on my bed worked. Little Lady thought being trapped in a basket was a great game.
