Two years ago I had my fallopian tubes removed on Valentine's day. I can't say I never wanted children, but after my niece was born with CF and I was (what seems like) permanently single in my forties I decided to take it off the table.

I have thought about in recent years of having a vasectomy, because I have ruled out children since I'm in my early 40s. I have never thought about having it done on a holiday. The main thing holding me back is paying what the insurance won't cover for the procedure.

They put me on the maternity ward post op for a sub-total hyst. I was 37 when I had my surgery. (Not enough post-ops that day to open the right ward).
So I can understand that having that done on such a holiday was a bit much.

You know you did something pretty moral 2 years ago - maybe do something nice for yourself tomorrow? ❤
