Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Florida has beach restoration projects going on all the time, but usually because the sand washes back into the ocean. They dredge sand up onto the beach from deeper waters, and we get some really interesting sand-blasted shells for the beachcombers for awhile! I lived in the Ft Lauderdale area 1988-1994 and 2000-2007; land developers and condo associations were the bane of our existence but I believe they at least helped with beach nourishment (being their bread-and-butter for the most part)
