I really don't care about the beach. Lived on water most of my life and really enjoy the quiet of the country and my golf. Housing is very reasonable, and so no mortgage. Insurance is a lot less because I'm miles and miles from the ocean. When you get older on a fixed income, lowering your fixed monthly costs becomes paramount. That way I can travel all over the world <3
