Why would you want to travel back in time?
If you could travel to anywhere in the Universe at any time and you'd go back to Earth history? Not me. I'm going to check out X at Y.

Sort of like religion.

You cannot travel backwards in time because time is not a place. Where would you go? We are going forward in time and this journey depends a lot on your past or just circumstance. I have a relative that remembers an event but he does not remember me being there. Selective time travel perhaps. How many dead people and animals would have to be brought back to life for you to go backwards in time?
