Bee hotel update.
Assembly of the box & stand today. Ripped remaining deck rail posts for roof material.
Damn batteries for the drill are dead! Four hour down time to recharge one.

Why did you put the extra notches in the base?

HeathenFarmer Level 8 July 14, 2018

I didnt. The whole thing is made from scrap. The base pieces are the top and bottom of a piece of pre-fabricated deck railing.

@bigpawbullets Yes, as I found out reading your older posts after your latest.

Which is how I ended up with two drills.

Last post for this evening. I polyurethaned the exterior surfaces. Should help the beasty last 3 to 5 years .
Tomorrow we'll attempt the roofing.

I cut the roofing slats to length. I believe I'll stop using power tools for the evening. 3 Yuenglings should be about right for slathering some polyurethane on the frame..... Right??

bigpawbullets Level 8 July 11, 2018

Yuenglig what? Pottsville, Pa. Love the towns name. =0}

I always have one battery charging whilst I use the other one. All my rechargeable tools are subject to one in use & one charging.

Mooolah Level 8 July 11, 2018

Exactly what I do.
Except! Went to switch batteries... second one was dead. I blame dementia.

I'll have you know - I spent some time today getting an education on buzzy things!

AmiSue Level 8 July 11, 2018

No welts from stings I hope....

You need the one hour charger. If you wait around too long, you might have one too many Yuengling beers, one of my favorites.

kenriley Level 8 July 11, 2018

In progress.

Meditate, take a walk...make love to your wife.

MissKathleen Level 9 July 11, 2018

Good response!

She wore me out last night.
Which kind of eliminates a long walk.
I quit meditating in the 70s.
How about this instead?

@bigpawbullets your choice. But there’s more than one way to make love to your wife, many of which only require being still together,

@MissKathleen
Well, she's at her office with clients.
It might be a bit distracting during financial planning meetings.

@bigpawbullets But think of the increase in “billable hours”!

I can't wait to see the finished product.

Looking good, you need to have electric bill for a backup. LOL

Sheannutt Level 9 July 11, 2018

I've a corded drill or two in the shop.... but I really like my DeWalt.

@bigpawbullets A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.

@MissKathleen a woman too lol

@Sheannutt We wuz talkin’ ‘ bout @bigpawbullets and his manly, uncorded DeWalt.

@MissKathleen yes I know I used to have one of those drills. LOL

@Sheannutt Oh, I HAVE an uncorded drill, but not a DeWalt. No big-bucks luxury items in MY life!

@MissKathleen used to have one when I was building my house don't have it anymore.

@Sheanutt shamed me into digging through the tool bin in my shop and bringing out a corded drill.
