After a long time of trying to get a shot of my friend the Blue Heron, he waited on me today without taking off. He's been coming here for years, sometimes bring his girlfriend. My phone was the only camera I could get my hands on, or else the pictures might have been better.

Very pretty. The drive across the road, where I lived, had a creek that overflowed during the spring rains. Every spring there was a pair of cranes that would fly through and hang around there for about a week. I always was curious if they were the same ones or related ones.

My guess they would be the same ones, Blue Herons seen to hang around the same spots.

[americanexpedition.us] Some info for you.

He's really shy, and as soon as he spots you then off he goes, He waited today, and I started to move closer, but that was too much for him, off he went.
