We have had two good frosts now, but a couple of summer flowers are still hanging on. The Lamium or dead nettles, which are wonderful value as ground cover and just seem always to flower, plus one last Lupin. But the winter flowers are starting with the first winter jasmine.

I've never heard of winter jasmine - is it scented?

Some of my friends say it is scented, I can smell nothing.

@Fernapple ah well! many jasmines are rather overpowering...

@Allamanda I'm seriously allergic to the jasmine that grows to 3-inch vines up trees. People have fences covered with it here.

@CrazyQuilter oh! did not know about that kind! Here it's various small bushes.
