I haven't heard about this before but I think one cup is not enough. If I still had my garden I would place Vaseline covered cups everywhere to see how well it works. Make sure and put them out early before aphids infest the plants. I believe this photo is from a mock orange. Aphids would always end up on the mock orange every year.
No, but I will try, also! Then again, all you early-climate gardeners will get to report your results before I will need it
Never heard of this before, but now I know! Thanks!
New one for me. Worth a try.
New one for me too but worth the sacrifice of a yellow cup, a stake and some vaseline.

Posted by FernappleIts the time for one of my favourite flowers, Primula florindae, the giant cowslip to flower. The cinnamon scent fills the garden on warm days.
Posted by FrostyJimIt's almost salad season. It is amazing how fast my salad greens grow in just 3 weeks since setting out my seedlings in our long Alaska summer days...

Posted by FernappleNature is the best gardener still. All nature asks is a little space, that's all. Maybe no more than a slightly leaky fall pipe, and a bit of neglected wall, and you have a perfect tiny garden.
