Less prosaically the bulls toss prices up and the bears claw prices down.

Bearish is a buying opportunity.

Only if you are a contrarian because the trend is your friend is the generally accepted wisdom.

@waitingforgodo True. The trick is to be a bull & and a bear but never a pig. So never sell at the top. Never buy at the bottom. But always be buying and selling over the years.
