Oh my word, it's just a joke. And, I'm an English major, so..... words are kinda my thing.

I used to have several polyamory friends. This popped up in my Facebook memories from when I shared it with them. Geez.

It's a shame that text holds no inflections, so you could hear my mental tone as I typed it. It's a flaw of this type of medium. 🙂

I like this one! Though I'm still going to call myself polyamorous because that's been accepted as the norm. People are more wary of change than they are of grammar.
