Not very familiar with DrangonI Ball Z, but think there are many stories, games, movies, shows, and books that have a lot of good moral guidance and general life lessons on how to be a decent person/alien/being; and they usually make it relatively clear and understandable.
"Religious" texts are usually very confusing and lack clear direction, what with all the inconsistencies and contradictions. To say nothing of the horrific threats of terrible and unending torture if you don't "comply".
I'm sure Gokuism is as legitimate as any other, if not better.
