Kevin must have known Sheryl was married otherwise the author wouldn't have known Sheryl lied to her husband about working late and meeting a guy (he obviously didn't get that info from his aunt, because she already knows he wants to get revenge on her). So if Kevin knew she was married, why would he think he could invite her to one of his co-worker's homes on a national holiday?

I'm sure there are details that the Original Poster didn't include. I'm not sure if Kevin knew his new woman was married or not, but I'm sure many details will come out, even before appetizers are served.

@scurry I'm not asking definitively. Can you theorize a way in which the author knew his aunt lied about being at work on the night she went to a bar and met Kevin without Kevin knowing that information? It's technically possible, but contains the most ridiculous set of outlandish circumstances to make it happen that alone would make someone call bullshit.
