As a former long-distance telephone operator, just before self-dialing was introduced, I never read a number more than 3 digits long, ina sentence, until I finish the sentence to find out the relevance of the numbers. They will still be there when I've finished the sentence.

Is that being lazy, or is it using your time effectively?
While working remotely, I get 6 digit numbers texted to me to sign into some of my company’s websites. I admit I stopped at six.
