Never had much problem with paper straws when I was a kid, bring them back
They are a source of plastic pollution that most people can live without.
@zorialoki A very good question would be if the ban only applies to plastic straws. I believe I read that it does. Not sure if you are old enough to remember using paper straws, but they were bad! They tended to fall apart before your drink was done. Now in the REALLY old days, almost so long ago that I barely remember them, some places used straws actually made from straw, or pieces of reeds. I recall the reed ones worked fine but were narrower so you got 2 of them. I guess that was the 1960s in Europe & they were very uncommon by then. My mom remembered when they were ubiquitous though.
