The pawn is the lowliest and humblest of chess pieces and yet it often metamorphosizes into the 2nd most powerful piece on the board - The Queen and it has special powers at the beginning of the game which allow it to not only move forward but attack diagonally but also make a unique move called En Passant. The Pawn is considered a foot soldier to be sacrificed for strategic purposes but it is often instrumental in Mating the King. 
Stick that pile of data up your bung hole.

@mek7730 I used to a fair bit of chess and go as well. People who are really into chess will have a bit of a field day with my post. Time will tell.
@Surfpirate no harm done. I used to play when I was a kid but that was a loooooooong time ago...
