reminds me of how we would hunt opossums, you would find a female road kill, then move her to an open area. Lie in wait as the males would come up and have sex with her. shooting fish in a barrel. Sold the fur for coats and the meat for dog food. Before anyone gets all judgey, I was 11 at the time and I lived in a very rural part of the south.

@Captnron59 apparently they've been hunting them like that for years, because an old man told us that was how they hunted them when he was little, except they would wait until they had killed a female, not that much road kill in 1920's La. The desire to mate is strong.
