I had such hopes for Francis when he took over for the count, looks like he was as blind as all the other supervisors.

Just more of the same. The RCC hierarchy is far more interested in protecting their power than they are protecting the most innocent and vulnerable forced to be among them.
They are the perfect example of why ALL religion is evil.
@KKGator ahh such soothing words to my ears! Yes I cannot agree with you more. So much religious evil. So much power. Sooo reliant on the heirarchy. Nauseating isn't it. I would love nothing better than to flatten the catholic structure, uproot the system of blind obedience, and loot and pillage the churches. I rather like stained glass, after all. Might look good in my bathroom.
@Bakunin The art inspired by people's delusions shouldn't be destroyed. Turn all the churches, at least the oldest and most beautiful ones into museums. Use the money generated by ticket sales for their upkeep, and whatever is left, put into a fund for the church's victims.
The Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica, are perfect examples of this. All the "churches" in strip malls can be turned into something else. All the megachurches could be turned into hospitals, shelters, and other useful public buildings, and ALL at the expense of those who were running them. You know, like Joel Osteen, and the other assholes who run those "ministries".
