An acquaintance of mine from St Louis posted on facebook about the "original" exorcism that the book and film "The Exorcist" were based on. Supposedly it happened in STL on a little boy. I asked for evidence. Nothing yet. And of course there cannot be any. It's a fairy tale. Fiction.

@Science-guy yeah maybe. So according to the fb story (that I think is pure BS), it happened in 1943 and the kid it happened to was a boy. In William Peter Blatty's book and the subsequent film, the possessed child was a girl. The St Louis boy supposedly had words like "HELL" arise in his skin and he projectile puked on priests in a manner similar to what happens in the film. The priest who exorcised the little kid never wanted to discuss the matter. He just died recently. I am really interested in finding out more about this story so I can debunk it. But St Louis is very Catholic and old habits die hard. Worth a try in my estimation.
And if they do, their faith must not be very strong.
