It's a scary place with scary people. Then I think of the English, trapped in an archaic political system with their quaint acceptance in place and think......oh yeah they're more like me and mine

I grew up on The Chronicles of Narnia, where badgers were noble creatures and did indeed have cozy homes where they offered guests yummy homemade treats...
@Freespirit64 Narnia was ok, tho I'm not a fan of C.S. Lewis, xtian apologist that he was. I did like "The Screwtape Letters", tho.

@phxbillcee yeah I didn't know or care about his leanings as a child. I did like the values of honor and integrity he promoted in his stories.
@Freespirit64 I'd rather "A Wrinkle In Time", have you read that? That was a big influence on a young me.
