Mental illness.
I had to write this down to get it out of my head. In my opinion, extreme religious beliefs are a form of mental illness. The missionary John Chau was recently killed by natives of an island in the Indian Ocean. He had been programmed from birth by his family and his cult (aka church). He believed he had the right, even the duty, to convert other humans to his cult’s specific delusions, even at the risk of his own life. He maintained this belief even when faced with the knowledge that those he wished to convert had expressed the 'opinion' that they did not wish to be converted, much less visited. And they had previously backed up their opinion by killing other visitors several times. So he went in, not once, but twice! To his death. Mental illness.
Maybe Jeebus sending a message to other followers? Think they'll listen?
I couldn't agree more. It's delusion.
