@Snickers77 Bush Jr was a disaster, but Senior got us in and out of Kuwait within a relatively short period of time. Which policies are you referring to? And what was Prescott (besides a town in Arizona)?

@Snickers77 Didn't know. Thought it was Reagan that started all the crap in Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador...Interesting history on Prescott. I'll have to do some research.

@Krysia22 Prescott as a US Senator was convicted of trading with the enemy (Germany) during WW II, GHWB did come across as a decent human being when you met him, but he was trained to present that persona, GWB was always a snobby spoiled rich kid with daddy issues. When GHWB ran for congress where he lived, he lost because of his business reputation in the Texas oil field. You have got to be pretty bad to be known as the crook in the oil business. He was devious enough that Richard Nixon did not trust him and to keep him out of circulation set him to China as an ambassador (not his official title, but his function) at a time when almost no news ever came into or out of China. Tourist visas were limited to a handful each year.
