Those are some big ass nasty spiders.. yikes~
Yep, real bastards!!!
I wish I could remember where I spoke to someone in Australia about their spiders. Very recently. The jumping one the size of a dinner plate might just freak me out?
And I had a Tarantula loose in my Dorm Room (A long time ago) and did NOT freak out.(Snakes freak me out not spiders).
This is the proper scientific chart.
Spiders freak me out more than snakes. Especially hairy ones! <shudder>
@MST3K I've found in a very non-scientific survey during my lifetime it's usually one or the other. Snakes or Spiders. Though I met someone today for whom it was mice? (Mice are cute!).
I'm actually pro spider. I feel guilty about killing the Black widows that sometime show up around the house.
If you feel guilty, why do it?
My kids are terrified. Plus their bites can be awful. Quality question though.
Are they in the house? If so, why not just capture them and release them outside far from the house. Or take them to a wooded area? Maybe get the kids involved, make it a save the spider project, have them read about the benefits of spiders. I know that's a lot. Just a suggestion.
I've always used a clear glass and a piece of paper to remove spiders.Otherwise it's too easy to injure their legs (In some cases) others I carry out.
@RavenCT That's a compassionate idea, really. I'll try to remember to try that next time I see a spider in my place.
I like how they keep it simple Down Under.
They all kill you.
