I can remember having things taken away as a kid because we misused them. So yes. Back then any parent's word was law.

@RavenCT What about if the kids were playing with sticks & one of them brought his mom's carving knife?

@RavenCT frankly, if things were still that way, there might be fewer of these mass shootings. And we wouldn't be arguing about guns, like we didn't back then.

@phxbillcee That would have been reported to a parent so fast.
