But semantics aside, the point I was making is that there really are people dumb enough to believe this kind of bullshit. And for the record, Hillary received 48% of the popular vote in 2016 and still lost because of the asinine electoral college system only in use because southern slave owners wanted to rig the system in their favor, giving them a percentage of electoral votes for every slave they owned even though the slaves themselves couldn’t vote.
