That's why I set up the machine the night before. Sometimes it's hard to remember "Turn switch to on."
BTW, I just bought a coffee machine with a timer delay brew function so I can skip that step. At that point my brain fog thinks "This coffee. Me have coffee. Where coffee cup?"
Once I'm full of coffee, I'm ready to deal with Petunia feeding requirements.
