Or I made all this neat stuff, but you can't have the best stuff (shrimp, crabs, lobster, catfish, bacon)
I was unaware of His restriction on catfish.
Some people don't do bacon for religious purposes.
I don't do religion for Bacon purposes.
(and also, I don't believe in a magical, invisible overseer in the sky.)
@WonderWartHog99 fish have to have scales.
@glennlab So if a fish has to be skinned, it can't be eaten? That's new to me. Where did you get this stuff?
@WonderWartHog99 Leviticus (11:9-10) states that one should eat "whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters" but not to eat "all that have not fins and scales in the seas." no octopus, no eels, no shark, no catfish, no sturgeon, the list goes on and on.
@glennlab Thanks for enlightening me. Kosher dietary laws are strange although they sometimes make sense like don't eat the owls.
@WonderWartHog99 Most made sense for the time they were given, scavengers and bottom feeders were more likely to be infected by fecal colliform and other pathogens because the sewers ran into the water, pigs were suseptable to both parasites and species jumping viruses.
