In my Nucleic Acids class the prof thought it would be fun to give a quiz on that weeks subject before he had presented the material. The quiz related to thermodynamics.
I had one class (Ivy League UP) on molecular immunology. It was 4 units and had no exams, no papers or in-class work products, and everyone got A's. It did have a large reading list, and class discussions.
Developmental Embryology at UO had a lab where each student was provided with a fetus to dissect. Where they came from? Nobody asked.
