I saw him on Larry King in probably the late 80's, and being of a scientific mindset, was completely fascinated and checked out a book of his from the library. Even though I identified as non-religious even then, it never occurred to me that religion was a question which fell under the realm of things this guy might be able to shed some light on.
@Rossy92 Much naturally follows from his outlook & methods, which are largely science-based, even if informed by the knowledge of a magicians toolbox. Many religious claims can be subjected to the same examination, & what a surprise, they fail just like the psychics & spoon-benders fail! He's even sent teams undercover into 'faith-healing' services & exposed the fakes!
