6 days ago, there had been 33 mass shootings SINCE Uvalde. That number is 265.
This short clip has some information that's simply stunning. The number of mass shootings in 2021 was 67% higher than the final tally of 2019.
And we're being offered "framework" from our government.
There are some people that think "baby steps" will get us sane gun laws in the future. I think the best example of that being straight up fiction, is the ACA (Obamacare.) People said we'd roll that into some single payer system and onto Medicare For All. What actually happened? The ACA has been all but revoked. It's been gutted. And it only took Trump 2 years to get it done. Just imagine. In short two years. This "framework" will be shredded then burned on the paper in which it resides. If this Congress refuses to play politics and get some damn laws enacted, we won't see any for decades and by then, it won't matter.

@SeaGreenEyez But a small compromise has been agreed on. At least a baby step. Even though the party is beholdin to the gun industry it's hard to ignore the huge majority of people constituents.
@SeaGreenEyez I agree but it is a sick joke. I have seen some of the pro-gun periodicals from the gun groups and they are all crap. Unfortunately, there is a subset (and I mean sub) of humanity (like the MAGA crowd) that swallows all this crapola. I once posted and still have a long study done years ago by some German psychologists who studied this subject. The basic conclusion was that owning a gun does change how many people see the world. The more guns the more the change. The change is not good. The conservatives claim that violent computer games turns people violent but the truth is often just having a gun can and does turn some people violent.
That is the sort of thing that happens under any "well regulated Militia". Look at what the Russian army is doing to the citizens of Ukraine.
