As per my previous comment paranoia and fear sells. Our society and the attitude of smaller government makes people feel they need to take matters into their own hands. This will come at a danger to the societies in which we all live. Only the gun companies will profit and we all will lose. Unfortunately, people with kids feel more at risk. How about more stories of kids getting hold of guns of their parents and shooting one another. Anyone remember the story of a kid who found a gun in the back seat of a car and shot his mother?
My question would be: so if this woman had a gun when she thought she was being stalked would she pull it out and maybe start a shooting spree? How would that protect herself and her kids? Fear brings on stupidity.
