Anyways, this could go with any legal firearm owner, not just a teacher. I have zero issue with people needing SOME sort of training in order to get a firearm. More extensive background, have an officer verify you have a safe, well, safe that will hold the firearm, and prevent the baddies, or little kids from getting one.

@GipsyOfNewSpain Okay I broke down and read the article. I'm not sure why you posted this. Fox made this all about "unreasonable search and seizure". Which I have to agree with. Were any crimes committed? I have a similar story. A friend of mine had a room mate that he thought something was going on. When his roomie was gone, he went into his room. He found a pistol. The guy is a felon, and NOT allowed around a firearm. It turns out it was stolen as well. He handed it over to the police. Now you can say he should not have been in his room in the first place, but he owns the house.

@GipsyOfNewSpain If you have room mates, I'd say fuck it. It's my shit, and it is legal. Here's a parallel. What is the purpose of having a CCW? It's to not draw attention to yourself. That is the correct answer. I don't want anyone to know what I have, or where it is. Period. Plus if your roomies know what you have, and where it is, does that not put you at risk for it being stolen and misused?
Not trying to be a jerk, but that's the way I look at it.
