I want to thank Gypsyofnewspain for all the useful information on gun buybacks, buyups... Looks like it has been done successfully before. Not so much by the Gov't, no surprise there. He has also showed us some of the pitfalls I hadn't thought of, just means we have to do some careful planning first. Nobody is going to help us, not in the near future anyway. If we want assault weapons off the street we're going to have to do it ourselves, and more than once. We need people lots of people, time to step up to the plate, do you want assault weapons off the street or not? Then you have to spread the word. There are 350+ million people in this country, don't tell me we can't do whatever we want, we just have to come together as a group, one bigass group.

Literally the only reason I'm not for a nationwide firearm roundup is because I don't believe our government should have a monopoly on violence. Other than that, we need to make sure gun owners are competent and stable, not just a non-felon.
@MikeFlora Do you really think the liberals are going to be satisfied with an assault weapons ban and background checks? Hell 4 liberal judges on the US Supreme Court don’t even recognize the 2nd amendment as giving private citizens the right to have firearms and believe it’s ok for a city to pass laws forbidding you from having a gun in your own home. If that’s not a total ban I don’t know what is.
