Any thoughts on Trump's "bump stock" comments?
Disclaimer... I don't watch Fox but I like to use it against Trump. You know its bad when Fox News comments on something serious.

As for his making a big show of telling the Attorney General to outlaw bump stocks - that's ineffective at best as the AT does not have legal authority to do that. Legislation needs to be passed to ban bump stocks. It just so happens that Senator Diane Feinstein 
has proposed just this legislation and - you guessed it - it was blocked by republicans. Of course DT did not mention that.

Well Finestiens bill didnt just try and ban bump stocks but "Anything that can be made or remade,designed or re-designed to be used in conjunction with any firearm to increase it's overall rate of fire." Under this language wearing pants with belt loops could be illegal when carrying a firearm. And that is not an exaggeration. [facebook.com] me bump firing an AK without a single modification
IF anything happens on that front it would be a good start but there is much more to do.
