You & I, & no doubt many on this site, served & were willing to do all we had to in defense of our country. I joined back at the tail-end of 'Nam, & had serious doubts about our government then, they've only grown since. I love my country still, but I fear I despise my government!

@phxbillcee That's also part of what I am doing, showing kids there are some adults that actually act like adults, and do the right thing for the right reasons
I had to say that veterans day 2016 in Las Vegas I met the most wonderful group of people I ever seen... young, beautiful, responsible.... and all friends of my son that was celebrating his purchasing of a home party at 27 without a mate, all by himself. It was after the elections... not a single bitching or fuss about it. There was even a Democrat delegate, co workers, co students in UNLV, co dancers... just good people that honored me for being his father. That gave me a lot of hope in this Fucking Nation. Being a nation of grown up children is how trump got elected. Not good, when children has to tell us what time it is!!! Not Good!!!
@GipsyOfNewSpain That is part of what I am doing here. Show young people that there are adult role models that do the right thing for the right reason.
